Somlo London was established in 1977 by George Somlo and it remains, to this day, a family business. As a young boy, George would frequent the markets and fairs of the UK with his father, sourcing rare antiques, jewellery, and most importantly pocket watches. This fostered a love of antique watches which inspired George to open Somlo London. Together with his wife Sandi, they started a business which specialised in antique pocket watches and vintage wristwatches in Mayfair. Before long, George’s keen eye for historically important horology, coupled with Sandi’s exceptional talents for sourcing rare and unique jewellery watches gave them a reputation as one of the finest watch dealers in London.
