Description

Founded in London in 1974 by Adrian Mibus and Louise Whitford, Whitford Fine Art is a leading international art gallery, specialising in British and European Post-War Abstraction, and Pop Art. The gallery offers 50 years of experience in the trade, and provides services of valuation, alongside art-historical curatorial advice in collection building and display. Whitford Fine Art participates in international art fairs in London, Brussels, and Hong Kong, and is a member of the Society of London Art Dealers (UK), CINOA (France) and The Royal Chamber of Art Dealers (Belgium). Over many decades, Whitford Fine Art has presented a vast exhibition program, reflecting Adrian Mibus’ interest and motivation to buy and sell the very best of an epoch. Adrian’s enthusiasm and appetite for showing quality have repeatedly proven the merits of his taste to be ahead of its time. Joined by An Jo Fermon in 1997 Whitford Fine Art paved the way for the rediscovery of a number of artists, including Frank Avray Wilson, Joseph Lacasse and Reinhold Koehler. Whitford Fine Art manages the Estates of Caziel, Georges Bernède, Joseph Lacasse, and Reinhold Koehler, and represents the Pop Artist Clive Barker. Whitford Fine Art has made many notable museum sales and is a regular lender to museum exhibitions in the United Kingdom and abroad.
